In the monastery Novi Nazaret, in the Banja Luka settlement of Budžak, the sisters of the Society of Adorers of the Blood of Christ celebrated the feast of the Precious Blood of Christ on July 1st.
The Holy Mass was led by the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica in concelebration with the parish priest rev. Marijan Stojanović and six other priests.
Due to the pandemic, only the nuns of this society from Banja Luka, 13 of them, and about 30 other lay believers, mostly members of the prayer community operating at the monastery, participated in the Holy Mass.
In his homily, the Bishop briefly presented the worship of the Blood of Christ through the centuries of the Church, especially from the mid-19th century when the obligatory memorial was officially introduced, after which followed introduction of this day as a holy day.
At the end of the Holy Mass, the head of the house, sister Zdenka Pezer, thanked all those present.
The participants of the celebration then stayed to socialise with the nuns, who are very responsible for the religious and charitable life and work of the Banja Luka Church.
