SESSION OF THE COMMISSION IUSTIA ET PAX BIH

Under the presidency of Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica, the session of the Commission of Iustia et pax of the BK BiH was held on December 10th at the premises of the BK BiH in Sarajevo.

With the Secretary General, Msgr. Ivo Tomašević and editor of Katolički Tjednik, rev. Josip Vajdner, the meeting was attended by the newly appointed members of the commission: Professor of Philosophy at the KBF in Sarajevo, rev. Oliver Jurišić and Retired Professor Msgr. Franjo Topić, and OFM Franjo Radman was justifiably absent.

After the introduction of Msgr. Komarica, in which he explained the role of the commission and indicated that it was necessary to align its Ordinance with the Statute of the Vatican Dicasterium on holistic human development, began the discussion on current issues related to World Human Rights Day.

In the first place, they discussed the Law on Land measuring and Cadastre of the Republika Srpska, and, on the example of the seizure of property of the Diocese of Banja Luka, noted its deadlines .

They also expressed support for the Club of Croats in the RS National Assembly, who stood up against the Law on usurpation and volunteer soldier’s competencies in that entity.

In the end, they referred to the current migrant crisis and stated that this challenge had to be addressed by local and international authorities and other institutions.
