ANNIVERSARY OF THE EUROPEAN CENTRE FOR PEACE AND COOPERATION

Organized by the Banja Luka Diocese and the Pan-European Union and in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the second anniversary of the founding of the European Centre for Peace and Cooperation was marked on September 20th at the Marija Zvijezda Meeting House in Banja Luka.

The following were present at the meeting, among many others: the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica, who greeted those present, the archbishop of Vrhbosna in peace, cardinal Vinko Puljić and the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković.

Rudolf Baier and Winfried Gburek presented two new books about Maria Zvijezda in German, and architects Ivana Barišić and Darijo Pleša presented the design of the new European Centre building.

In the afternoon, a Holy Mass was celebrated and led by cardinal Puljić, and then a concert was held.

The European Centre for Peace and Cooperation was founded as a non-profit international organization for religious and educational, cultural and economic programs, meetings, cooperation and exchange in the field of intercultural, interethnic, interreligious and political dialogue.
