The President of the Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, received the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica in the building of the Government of RS on June 15th.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Anton Kasipović also took part in the informative and friendly conversation.
The central topic of conversation was the current situation regarding the European Centre for Peace and Cooperation in the Trappist Monastery (formerly an abbey) Marija Zvijezda in Banja Luka, which was founded last year.
The Bishop informed the President about the unwillingness of the first-instance body of the Cadastral Office (RUGIP), despite the decision of the second-instance body of that institution (RUGIP), to accept the request of the Banja Luka diocese to “correct the mistake”, ie. to allocate illegally usurped property of the Church to other legal entities, specifically to the Agricultural Institute and the Institute Dr. Miroslav Zotović.
President Cvijanović instructed Minister Kasipović to convene a session of all responsible persons for the case as soon as possible and to “obtain concrete positive results for stakeholders”.
