A DELEGATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA VISITED BISHOP KOMARICA

An eight-member official delegation of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, led by the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Nataša Tramišak and the Minister of Science and Education Radovan Fuchs, visited the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica.

In the working part of the meeting, the General Consul of the Republic of Croatia in Banja Luka, Zoran Piličić, also participated.

After talks with the bishop and his associates in the Ordinariate, the Croatian delegation visited the House of Encounters and the European Centre for Peace and Interreligious and Interethnic Cooperation in the Trappist monastery of Marija Zvijezda.

The hosts informed the guests about the current situation regarding the necessary preconditions – legal and material in nature – for the work of this young European institution, the first of its kind in the wider Banja Luka area.

The Ministers expressed satisfaction and gratitude to Bishop Komarica for the great effort to acquaint as many well-meaning and humane people as possible with this unique “jewel” of European civilization in this part of BiH, and promised concrete help.
