ADMISSION TO THE NOVITIATE OF THE MISSIONARIES OF GOD’S MERCY

During the Holy Mass, on October 24th, in the parish of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sasina, near Sanski Most, the period of preparation for religious life for candidate Anđa Lebo began with the entry into the novitiate.

The Eucharist was led by the Bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Franjo Komarica, and concelebrated by the parish priest and spiritual leader of the community of Missionaries of God’s Mercy, venerable Adolf Višaticki and local son, OFM Dujo Ljevar.

At the beginning of the Holy Mass, the parish priest introduced the new member, a native of Posušje, who worked in the community Prayer and the Word in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Lištani near Livno.

In the sermon, Msgr. Komarica first spoke about the Year of the Word of God in the Vrhbosna Archdiocese and then about St. John Paul II, whom this Community took as one of its heavenly protectors. He also mentioned St. Faustina Kowalska, whose relics are in the parish church, and who is especially honoured by the Missionaries of Divine Mercy.

After the homily, the bishop introduced the candidate to the novitiate, which lasts for two years, and handed it over to the head, sister Marija Miroslava Ljevar.

The Holy Mass was attended by about 30 believers, including relatives of the novice.
